The Sea. One of the newest members of the DWK family will help you with it for sure. Chariman Maf does a great job with soundscapes and he is really into chilled, downtempo beats nowadays. Of course, he did not let us down with his last track either. Quite the opposite… this track is layered perfectly, has all the atmosphere and vibes that you would get from laying on a beach. Take the trip and you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve never thought I would make beats of my own, but here we are… a couple of days ago I heard a song on a series I’m watching and the piano just stuck. I’m proud to present you my very first own track, titled A Man of Dreams. I’ve received very nice compliments on it but I know it could have been better. Nonetheless I took my first baby steps and the second track is in the works. Enjoy.

Here’s another great release. deeB is from the Netherlands and made his first solo debut with this freely downloadable EP, called Daydream. As you can see from the title of the post, I got sucked in by the atmosphere of the tracks and the way he uses different instruments is stunning. Don’t miss out on this one. By the way, I got this link from a friend who is making beats of his own, so I’ll link his work too. Can’t go wrong with a double post!

So, the beatmaker who showed me the link also does a beautiful job with sounds. A funky track Infiltrate made a little while ago got noticed pretty quickly so I’ll link the first version of it, and check his bandcamp for the 2nd (improved version) too.

2nd verision:

I got stuck somewhere around 1995-1999 so this release has brought back lots of memories. The beats, the samples and everything basically is so reminiscent of the 90s era that I just wanted more and more. I will say no more, you have to listen to it to feel it so put on your headphones and travel through time with Wally Pish Posh‘s  Fun For The Whole Family.  (Free download behind the artwork as always)

Ladies and gents the time has finally come! Kovacs put up his remix collection to soundcloud. We have been waiting for this release for months now. The original Piszkos Jazz is one of the best contemporary jazz influenced release and now such acclaimed producers remixed the tracks as Hugo Kant, Suhov, Renegades Of Jazz and Kisszántó. You have to check this out as soon as you can. If you haven’t heard the originals, give your ears a treat with them also. We are genuinely proud to have such a great producer emerge from our country. Keep on doing what you do Nándor!

Dokkerman and The Trukeying Fellaz has just released their new album titled Mongoose. The album is heavily influenced by late sixties old school funk sounds and the 9 piece band gives you a very dusty, raw kind of funk that you can’t pass on. Whether you like slow funk , something bass heavy, or fast grooves, click on the picture and download the album for free! Big up Hungary! By the way, your favourite Hungarian netlabel, Budabeats is responsible for releasing the album for free.   NOTE: The soundcloud set is not the same as the free album behind the picture!

Members: Zimon Péter (drums), Michelberger Tamás (organ), Jenei Miklós (bass), Sághy Bálint (guitar), Bada Emőke (MC), Nagy Illés (percussion, MC), El Balogh Krisztián (percussion), Lior Paz (saxophone) és Tóth Bence (trumpet)

Here’s this guy whose name speaks well of himself. And here’s his 7-track Neckbreakers beat tape, which is also kind of a fitting title. He’s bringing beats to a level, where you can not stop nodding, probably will break your neck if you get addicted to this release. Have a listen and try not to break your neck so you can listen to more fine beats from The Expert in the future. Free download behind the pic, as always!

That’s how your world turns after you press play on a new 21-track release titled Basement Skylights from Anitek, Tab, A.U.R.C. and Hernan Faraci. The genre is all around the place which is really a compliment here… overchilled sounds, turntablism, dubbish vibes, trip hop tunes and hip hop beats can all be found among the meticulously created pieces. I can’t even choose a personal favourite, they are so good, so I will link the whole set instead. Free download available behind the picture as always. Make sure you check this one out, it would be a shame to miss it… or as the man Anitek himself put it “A MUST LISTEN abstract hiphop, experimental psychedelicness.”

Basement Skylights

This guy from the Dusted Wax family keeps on bringing amazing stuff one after the other… Perfect sampling and a vibe that surely fits the title of the track. Check out Beats & Hypnotism. It’s just… beautiful and hypnotic.

…is made of two legendary hip hop tracks mixed together. Can I Kick It? by A Tribe Called Quest and The Turning Point by Dj Format. Both of these tracks were in my latest golden era hip hop mix called Reminisce Over Rap and I found them quite nice to mix. They are even better mashed up.
I only used hot queues and the channels on my Mixtrack Pro, so it’s not a pro mashup but I was quite happy with it for a start. Can you dig it?
